High School Business Plan Competition

MSBCS, in partnership with the network of Small Business Enterprise Centres, has celebrated the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of Ontario's high school students with the Ontario Secondary School Business Plan Competition. The competition is open to all high school students in Ontario.

How Does It Work?

Students must first compete at a local business plan competition organized by a Small Business Enterprise Centre in their area.

The winner of each local competition becomes a Finalist in Northern Ontario, Eastern Ontario, Western Ontario or Central Ontario, depending on their location. The winner from each region will then compete for a placement at the Provincial level.

What Type of Plan Can be Entered?

Business ideas can range from the highly technical to the creative arts and everything in between. All we ask is for an original idea. In the past, many of the plans have not only shown creativity, but were truly implementable.

A Business Plan Guide is available for use by both students and teachers.

The business plans are then judged by a local panel, made up of business leaders and local sponsors.

I’m interested, how do I find out more?
