There is no fee for our basic services. A nominal fee is charged for some seminars and workshops.

Do I need a licence or permit to operate my business?
Depending on the business you may require a permit or a licence.  Meeting with a WASBEC counsellor will help you determine whether or not you need a licence(s) or a permit(s).  Book your appointment today with a qualified business counsellor. 

How do I legally register a business or trade name?
Registering a business often refers to registering a business or trade name. In Ontario, you are legally required to register your business or trade name every five years.  If you are operating a sole proprietorship or partnership, under a business or trade name other than your exact legal name, you must register.  The Woodstock & Area Small Business Enterprise Centre has a Business Registration terminal for your convenience or on-line www.serviceontario.ca.  Please see the Business Registration section (under the Services button) for more details.
